“Hazel Thompson and her Excelerator Golf Tours has done a great job with organising this group and all the golf and events. It was a great trip. Thank you for all you did to make it special.”

“Thank you, Hazel, for organising an unforgettable 2023 castle and links tour. It was such an honour to see your beautiful country and play on some of the world’s most highly rated and exclusive golf courses, in absolute luxury. Such a high level of thought and organisation has gone into making this tour such a fantastic experience. The inclusions were all first-class and exceeded expectations: the various hotels and accommodations were all modern and luxurious, the coaches were very comfortable with wifi and everyone had their own space, the restaurants were all high-quality, and there was a perfect balance of golf and experiencing the Irish culture. Many of the experiences were very unique and cannot be replicated by other mainstream tours.
The selection of golf courses was superb, especially being able to play the same courses as recent and upcoming major professional tournament, such as Portstewart (2017 Irish Open), Royal Portrush (2019 & 2025 Open) and Adare Manor (2027 Ryder Cup)........ Definitely one of the best travel experiences I have ever had.”

Welcome to Portmarnock Golf Club, founded in 1894. The links is consistently ranked amongst the top golf courses in the world. With a rich history closely aligned to the progression of golf in Ireland, Portmarnock has hosted many major professional and amateur events including multiple Irish Open Championships, the Walker Cup, the Irish Amateur Close Championship and the British Amateur Championship.
Tom Watson (Open Champion on 5 occasions) summed up the links during his visits by saying "There are no tricks or nasty surprises, only an honest, albeit searching test of shot making skills."
Established in 1890, The Island Golf Club enjoys a unique setting bordered by sea on 3 sides. A classic links course set in a rugged terrain & nestled between the highest sand dunes along the east coast. Only 15 minutes from Dublin Airport and 30 minutes from Dublin City Centre, The Island is favourably located in the remote and tranquil Estuary of Donabate & Malahide.
It enjoys a growing international reputation and currently hosts Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship and has hosted strokeplay qualifying for the British Amateur Championship in 2019.
The Island Golf Club is also hosting The Irish Amateur Open in 2023.
The links of The European Club was designed by Pat Ruddy who continues after thirty years
to calibrate the links to meet the challenges of the modern game allowing the champions of today
to express themselves while demanding a cerebral approach for true success.
Year after year the work goes on with Ruddy directing design improvements. Few golf courses have had such prolonged attention from their designers with Donald Ross at Pinehurst being an obvious equivalent.
The result is probably the best links of them all. Constantly enhanced and fitted to the modern game.
Situated on the shoreline of a rugged peninsula, Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links first opened for play in 1995. Located just 15 minutes from Dublin Airport.
Jameson Golf Links is an 18 hole course spread across 203 acres and is set on the grounds of the old Jameson Estate of St. Marnocks. the course has played host to professional and amateur events including the 2008 and 2009 Ladies Irish Open and the 2021 Irish Challenge.
Jameson Golf Links makes full use of the dunes and natural terrain to provide a layout that will please the most ardent of links purists. The elevated tees and greens, blind approaches and doglegs, not to mention the typical links sea breeze, will keep you thinking through every round.
